Goals absolutely critical in all aspects of ones life. They are especially important in business as they guide an organization on its critical path. Dreams are the fuel that ignite your imagination of what could be. Without dreams, life can be pretty bland. Without goals, you may never realize your dreams. The two are simply intwined.
Yet, for a lot of people, dreams often become elusive and some goals are never met. How can you break free of this?
The Difference Between Dreams and Goals
I am a huge fan of podcasts. I love the on-demand, personal, mobile aspects of podcasts. I also love the learning aspect, too. A lot of my inspiration comes from listening, no devouring, at least ten podcast episodes a day. I’d listen to more, but my iPhone is maxed out on space!
One of the podcasts I get a lot of value from is The Big Shift Podcast, hosted by Bill Baren. Bill motivates, inspires, and shares his experiences on success, failure, and how to better yourself in life and in business. After all, isn’t that what it’s all about?!
I recently listened/watched one of his episodes titled The Difference Between Dreams and Goals. It was uplifting, inspiring, entertaining, and educational at the same time. The big take away is that dreams are the fuel for goal setting. Once you set your goals, you can then break them down into actionable steps, which allows you to accomplish much more.
I encourage you to watch the episode, take in the information, and apply it to your business. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
