Day 19 of 31 in my daily vlog challenge. Today, I get to shine a light on someone who is doing big things in their community. He is someone that I have watched flourish over the last year or so and who is poised to do big things. His name is Jason William Johnson.
I first met Jason via the Shapr app in the summer of 2016. We met at a Starbucks on Michigan Avenue and right away we clicked. We connected on so many different levels and topics, we were both blown away. The funny thing was that our backgrounds were very different, but our conclusions were the same.
From there, we quickly became friends. I was asked to teach a class on branding and brand strategy for the Chicago Urban League’s Entrepreneurship Center in the fall of 2016, which led to several other opportunities. Since then, I have watched Jason be promoted to Director of the Entrepreneurship Center and become even more of a leader, helping business owners and entrepreneurs get the support, advice, and resources that they need.
I could go on forever talking about Jason and the things he has accomplished so far – most importantly I’m proud to be his friend.
